Being a small business owner is a dream come true! I have worked very hard to be the go-to for parents in Duluth.
I was born in Wisconsin, went to college at UW-Madison and moved to Duluth from Minneapolis in 2008.
I am a proud parent of a 14 year old boy, who's birth was a transformative experience for me and helped nudge me toward this career.
My favorite days involve jogging the Western Waterfront Trail, a leisurely book in the hammock, exploring the Apostle Islands and sleeping in a tent or jetting off somewhere for a concert with my partner Sara.

Helping build strong families is my passion! I took my first Doula training with DONA in 2008 and have worked with hundreds of Northland area families during pregnancy, birth and postpartum. I work with families planning every kind of birth - from a hospital birth with all the bells and whistles to a midwife assisted home birth. I see beautiful birth in all its variations and know how a doula can help you set and meet your birth and parenting goals. Helping people become parents is what I do.
I understand the needs of families during pregnancy - we will use our time together to help you both feel relaxed and prepared for what is to come. I am available to answer your questions by phone, text or email throughout your pregnancy and postpartum.
Our visits during pregnancy are designed to help you develop your personal philosophies and styles and help you translate them into real world skills you will use at your birth and in your new role as parents. You will be prepared and supported by an experienced professional working for you to help you have your best birth.
I love working with families who want to know their options and make decisions that reflect their own values. There is no "right way" to give birth - only a right way for you.
Once your baby is here, you deserve the support only a doula can provide. I can help you build your confidence in the early weeks using education and reassurance to help you navigate the 24/7 care of your newborn. You will have a trusted resource to help get breastfeeding started right will help you reach your breastfeeding goals. Having a team member who knows what is normal to expect and when to ask for help builds confidence and gets your life as parents off to the best start.
